Heyl Royster Coming to M2

December 9, 2016

Zach Wetherell, Josh Markiewicz and Tim Harrington of Coldwell Banker Commercial Devonshire Realty announced the lease of 12,716 square feet of space on the fifth floor of M2 in downtown Champaign to the law firm of Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C. Heyl Royster serves businesses in the Midwest with 120 lawyers in offices located in Peoria, Chicago, Edwardsville, Rockford, Springfield, as well as in Champaign-Urbana. In its Champaign-Urbana office the firm has 12 attorneys and 16 staff. The firm is moving from 102 E. Main Street in Urbana and will be open for business in the new office on January 3.

Bruce Bonds, Managing Partner of the firm’s local office said “Heyl Royster has had an office in this area for 35 years, and we are proud of our longstanding commitment to our local clients, as well as the community overall. Although we will miss being in Urbana, the opportunity to move to an unfinished space designed to fit our needs and those of our clients was simply too good to pass up.” Heyl Royster Managing Partner Tim Bertschy said “Our firm is in growth mode, and this move is one reflection of our overall strategic plan. Everything we do is client-driven, and this new office gives us the space to grow – in terms of attorneys and staff, but also in terms of the services that we are able to provide to area businesses.”

Dave Jones, President and CEO of One Main Development said of the latest addition to the M2 project “It is very exciting to be finishing out the 5th floor of M2 for such a prestigious firm as Heyl Royster.  As downtown has evolved back into a business district, we are pleased that companies such as Heyl Royster are taking advantage of the environment for their own business growth and development.  Started in 2009, the M2 project has been a significant part of the revitalization of downtown and has persevered to become a destination for business owners and residents seeking the energy of the downtown community.”
